The most common VPN promotion is a long plan with a steep discount. The first payment is often a good deal — just check the following.
The monthly price is not what you pay forever
Monthly price = first payment ÷ months in the plan. When the term ends, most services renew automatically at the renewal price, which can be two to three times the introductory monthly price. Our offer pages list the first payment, monthly price and renewal price side by side.
The refund window is your trial
Most services offer a no-questions refund for about 30 days. Test the sites you use and the speeds you get before that window closes.
Devices and protocols

Turn off auto-renewal
If you do not plan to renew, switch off auto-renewal in your account right after buying so you are not charged the renewal price.
